However, instead of celebration, the post drew sharp trolling. Netizens commented, “The real Singham is sitting at Jantar Mantar,” linking the post to the ongoing student protests in Delhi.
Why is Ajay Devgn being trolled?
The trolling stems from Prakash Raj’s recent real-life participation in the student agitation at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi, against the NEET paper leak controversy. Raj, who played the corrupt politician-turned-gangster Jaikant Shikre in the film, was seen supporting the protesting students and youths who were on hunger strike. The protests were backed by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP).
Internet users cleverly flipped the narrative, suggesting that Prakash Raj — the film’s “villain” — is the “real Singham” for standing with the students in real life, while contrasting it with Ajay Devgn’s celebratory post.
