As part of its ongoing organisational restructuring, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has appointed Nirmala Navale, former Sarpanch of Karegaon in Pune district, as the State President of its Yuvati Vibhag

The appointment letter was presented to her by NCP National President and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar. An engineering graduate, Navale earlier served as Sarpanch of Karegaon and was working as the Working President of the NCP Yuvati Vibhag. She is known not only as an active political leader but also as a popular face on social media. Her developmental work in the village, distinctive personality, fashion sense and interest in automobiles frequently keep her in the public eye.

With over 5 lakh followers on Instagram, she enjoys significant influence among the youth and has built a strong digital presence. However, she suffered a narrow defeat by 329 votes against BJP’s Manisha Pachange in the recent Panchayat Samiti elections.,

Taking into account her dynamic work style, strong public connect and ability to reach the younger generation through social media, the NCP has entrusted her with the responsibility of leading the state’s Yuvati Vibhag. In her new role, Navale will work to unite young women workers across Maharashtra and further strengthen the organisation.
