Pandharpur: The Shri Vitthal Rukmini Temple is brimming with devotion as lakhs of pilgrims from across Maharashtra and the country have gathered for the Ashadhi Yatra. The temple premises are filled with a deeply spiritual atmosphere.During this period, the temple committee has been receiving generous donations in the form of cash, gold, silver, and other valuables. In a notable act of devotion, an anonymous devotee has donated a pair of gold Padukas to the deity. These Padukas weigh 446 grams and are valued at approximately ₹56.59 lakh.Transparent Donation Process
To ensure proper handling of such precious offerings, the Temple Committee has set up a dedicated donation cell. This cell is manned by two professional goldsmiths and experienced staff who are responsible for authenticity checks, purity testing, accurate weighing, registration, and secure acceptance of the items.Temple Manager Pravinkumar Gham has appealed to devotees who wish to donate gold or silver items to contact the temple office directly and obtain an official receipt for their donation.The information was shared in the presence of several senior members of the Temple Committee, including Co-President Gahininath Maharaj Ausekar, members Shakuntalatai Nadgire, Sambhaji Shinde, Adv. Madhavi Nigade, H.B.P. Prakash Javanjal, H.B.P. Shivajirao More, Executive Officer Rajendra Shelke, Manager Pravinkumar Gham, and Accounts Officer Mukesh Anecha.
