Laxman Hake Announces New Political Party: OBC Janata Party

Baramati: In a major political development that has sent ripples across Maharashtra, prominent OBC activist and professor Laxman Hake has announced the formation of a new political party. Addressing a press conference in Baramati, Hake officially declared the launch of the OBC Janata Party.

Strong Attack on Ruling and Opposition

PartiesHake launched a sharp attack on both the ruling alliance and the opposition, accusing them of completely ignoring the issues of the state’s 60% OBC population during the recently concluded Monsoon Session of the Maharashtra Assembly.

“We have now reached the conclusion that no one is left to represent us in Maharashtra,” Hake said, directly challenging the established political parties. He stressed that the new party will not work for sugar barons or any elite leaders, but will fight for the rights of ordinary OBC, SC, and ST communities, inspired by the ideologies of Mahatma Phule, Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar.

Scathing Criticism of BJP

Hake reserved his strongest criticism for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). “BJP used to say that OBC is in its DNA to secure our votes. But now, their DNA is no longer OBC — it has become Prasad Lad,” he remarked. He alleged that the government is routing one lakh government jobs through private companies linked to BJP leader Prasad Lad. Hake also contrasted the current BJP with the party that existed during the time of the late Gopinath Munde, saying there is a world of difference between the two.
