Ratnagiri: Heavy vehicles banned on Amba Ghat; District Collector issues order after heavy rains cause cracks in the road Due to continuous heavy rainfall over the past two weeks, cracks have developed on the road in Amba Ghat on the Kolhapur-Ratnagiri National Highway (NH-166). With the risk of the road collapsing, Ratnagiri District Collector and Chairperson of the District Disaster Management Authority, Manuj Jindal, has ordered a complete ban on all types of heavy vehicular traffic through Amba Ghat until further notice. The order aims to prevent possible accidents and ensure the safety of citizens.
